Taking portraits of toddlers
is one of the more rewarding photography programs we offer. I love watching a nervous youngster, who maybe has not been away from Mom for a portrait before, warm up and then blossom in front of the camera.
I bend down and talk with each child before we start the photos. I introduce myself, find out their name, and joke around a bit or find something they like to talk about. This way I get a chance to make the photo session not so scary. So when we start taking the photos we have fun!
I take lots of photos of each of two poses. Sometimes we say silly words to smile. Sometimes we just chat. Sometimes I have to ‘toot’ or make funny faces and noises. Whatever it takes, you can see the results are wonderful portraits. And we all had fun!
